The Raindrop Technique

In 2015 we hosted a one-day course in the Raindrop Technique, where attendees got the opportunity to experience a beautiful, unique healing modality that draws wisdom from a number of lineages. This technique is not widely known and is taught very selectively around the world, with only a few highly trained practitioners. Sabina DeVita is one of the world’s top therapists in this system,

The Raindrop Technique® is a procedure of applying a sequence of organic and therapeutic-grade essential oils that deliver nutrients to the feet, back and spine. The technique was founded by Young Living owner, D. Gary Young. He was taught the principles of the ‘feather stroking’ technique by Lakota elder Wallace Black Elk, which feed into the Raindrop Technique therapy system.

Raindrop Technique is a combination of various aspects of conventional massage, adaptations of Oriental/Tibetan acupressure and reflexology, Lakota Native American healing techniques and Aromatic Sciences using the potent line of Young Living therapeutic-grade essential oils. The combination of these holistic techniques creates a synergistic effect for the body-mind-spirit interface.

The oils are dispensed like little drops of rain from about six inches above the back and massaged along the vertebrae and back muscles. Essential oils used are Valor (Blend), Thyme, Basil, Wintergreen, Marjoram, Cypress, Peppermint, Oregano, AromaSiez Blend, and Ortho Ease Massage Blend.
